Dee Solutions undertook a design and build project for JJ Rhatigan to complete the mechanical and electrical design for a new build technical teaching block at Chiswick School. The scheme was required to achieve the London Plan energy requirements and BIM level 2.

  • Project achieved a 35% reduction in CO2 emissions over the 2013 Building Regulation Target emission rate, and a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’.

Sensitive and detailed M&E design for the Grade listed Royal College of Music, London.

Dee Solutions was employed through Sykes & Son, the main contractor, to undertake the mechanical, electrical and plumbing detailed design for new and refurbishment areas within the RCM, London.

Over a number of phases, we designed for the student’s union and amenity areas, college office spaces, rehearsal music rooms, main dressing rooms for the main theatre and back of house workshops and offices.

We worked closely with the University, main contractor, architect, planning and heritage officers to ensure all listed parts were retained in this operational listed heritage building.

A complex renovation, we had to ensure all existing services were maintenance live, serving operational areas and achieving the strict planning conditions and at the same time installing new services and plant through an existing listed building.

A complex and sensitive building services strategy for this high-end luxury home in the home counties.

This high end residential scheme was a design and build project, whereby Dee Solutions was employed by the client to undertake mechanical and electrical design to RIBA design, stage 4 to allow a detailed tender pricing and final sub-contractor design and installation.

This beautiful home of 1,600 m2, 7 bedrooms, swimming pool, gym and cinema, included boosted hot and cold water, UFH heating, AC comfort cooling, lighting, small power, audio visual and home automatic system to control all systems.

Dee Solutions was also employed to review the sub-contractors detailed design proposals and to attend site to review the installation at the first and second fix, and commissioning stages.

  • Through the use of photovoltaics, energy efficiency and passive energy reduction methods this project reduced its energy by 30% above the baseline energy consumption.

Detailed mechanical and electrical design for 26 apartments in Hampshire.

Dee Solutions completed the detailed design for the contractor from RIBA design framework level 3 to RIBA stage 6. Dee Solutions undertook the complete mechanical and electrical design to ensure the installation complied with current building regulations, the client’s requirements and was a cost efficient solution.

We attended monthly meetings and construction stage site visits to ensure the design was fully co-ordinated and that the operations of the new building was understood at handover.

  • The project utilised photovoltaics, energy efficiency and passive measure to achieve a 10% reduction in energy for the development.

Detailed mechanical and electrical design for 21 high-end luxury apartments in Fulham.

Dee Solutions was employed by the mechanical and electrical sub-contractor to undertake the detailed mechanical and electrical design and co-ordinated working drawing from RIBA design framework level 3 to RIBA stage 6.

Carried out under a design and build contract, this luxury residential development consisted 21 high-end apartments and corresponding central plantroom and plant.

To ensure comfort and energy efficiency for these beautiful homes we included UFH heating, AC comfort cooling, lighting, small power, audio visual and home automatic system to control all systems.

The design of the mechanical, electrical and public health systems also included cold water, hot water, waste and foul water, low temperature hot water, heating, VRV cooling, rainwater, lighting, electrical distribution, earthing, metering, communications, BMS, fire systems and natural gas.

  • The total CO2 emissions of the residential section was be reduced by 31% over a Building Regulations (2010) baseline. These reductions will be achieved through energy efficiency measures, a CHP engine, PV panels and Air Source Heat Pumps.
  • Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 will be achieved for all dwellings and BREEAM Very Good for the commercial spaces.
  • Water efficient devices and rainwater harvesting will reduce internal water consumption; internal potable water usage in dwellings will be less than 105 litres/person/day.
